The flow numbers they claim show there is little advantage to the bigger nozzles. Will have to test that out in real life. Not sure why PLA matte is lower flow, probably a typo as in the slicer the numbers are different.
Probably to reduce oozing? Cause Matte is a foaming material, larger nozzle= a lot more oozing for foaming materials. Thanks for the heads up tho, grabbed a pair of 0.6 for myself
Thanks for the call-out, grabbed a couple of the .6 and maybe I’ll consider the .8 down the line, but I rarely use the .8 standards as I only really go that size for vase mode which is rare, so probably I don’t really need the HF one
And while I was at it they now offer a discount on a 4 pack of PLA-CF, not sure if this has been there longer, don’t remember seeing it before today
@maxim3D First, thank you for this post. I just grabbed two of the .6
Second, how do you have this nozzle already? You’re usually the first person here to have new info, and now you have new nozzles on release day. Are you an undercover Bambu insider?
I wish I was an insider, I pay full price like everyone else. I have a few sources in china for parts, thats where the hot end came from.
I also run an unofficial discord channel for bambu lab, invite in my bio, click on my name. A lot of the info I get is posted by a few well informed members there as well as my own research from patents and trademark filing etc.
Anyone else having the issue that volumetric flow settings get ignored when having High Flow 0.8 selected? Trying to do a flow rate test with the original 0.8 HF Nozzles. When i select High Flow in the Studio it doesnt matter what volumetric flow I set I always get the same speed. Only switching to Standard flow do I get higher speeds for the test.
No it doesnt its literally a flow rate test that reaches the max vfr when selecting Standard nozzle but only uses default vfr no matter the setting when having the High Flow nozzle.
Just go into the slicer and look for yourself. Same settings, selecting Standard 0.8 nozzle I reach 60mm³+, selecting High Flow 0.8 nozzle I get only 16mm³ no matter the setting - yes even with a 300mm cube and on multiple different computers.
Selecting Bambu PETG HF the max is 30mm³ as set default in the slicer, increasing this doesnt change anything either.
I am on the latest 2.2.0.68 but the version I used prior to updating today also had the same issue (though dont remember which one that was exactly)
I don’t know if you already checked here, but you have to select the High Flow filament preset settings. It will always show you Standard by default, even if you have the HF nozzles installed.
