To be honest, I’m not really sure your issue is related to the topics you linked. In those two cases, the noise only happens during extremely fast movements and when the direction changes quickly. That’s not a click either - it’s a knocking sound in these cases.
Your printer clicks constantly, even when printing very slowly. That’s a completely different problem. It sounds more like something came loose during shipping to you, since it’s a new device.
Its driving me insane. You can hear it from the other room. Imagine 13-30 hours of that. It’s not the ptfe tube. It’s not the extruder. I cant really seem to pinpoint it at all. Whats funny is…so far my $500 qidi has actually performed better than the h2s. I switched to bambu to try to get better quality nozzles, more quiet performance, and various other things. Here is where we are.
This is a community board. You need to open a support ticket with Bambu Support.
You also need to work through the troubleshooting in good faith, a strange noise doesn’t automatically entitle you to a new printer. It could easily be a simple fix, with no actual damage having occurred as a result.
I did open a ticket. At first I was going to trouble shoot, but then im like…why? This is a month old? Im not spending like $1300 and then trouble shooting a new printer for weeks. They take like 5 days to reply. I spent a lot of money because I didnt want to do that.
First off, I’m not defending Bambu. I understand why you’re frustrated. But as annoying as it is, that’s just how Bambu operates. We - the users here on the forum - find it frustrating as well, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, this hobby still isn’t quite plug‑and‑play, even if Bambu likes to advertise it that way.
I know what you mean. The problem is mainly the people ive found on the forum that have this sound. Nobody seems to have fixed it. Or it involves a bunch of crazy stuff. I dont want to replace motors and tension belts on a new printer. Especially being that i may mess it up, and not be able to repair it correctly. Belts and tension are odd things.
I’d just start with the most obvious things you can do without technical support: tighten the screws, check the belt tension. Visually inspect to see if anything is loose.
Also, manually move the printer using the display and see when and where the noise occurs.
Because it’s a good idea? Warranty replacements take time, if it turns out to be something simple you’ll have eaten up several weeks doing a warranty return when it could have potentially been an easy fix.
…then, if it turns out to be something not covered by warranty then you’re gonna be on the hook for shipping, repair, and you won’t get a new printer, you’ll get the old one sent back to you.
Reading and understanding the warranty terms is a good idea, so you know your rights, but also so you know theirs.
So one interesting thing. It doesn’t do the noise if its not actively printing. I will move the head while not printing and its silent. This makes me think it is a motor.
oddly enough right now it is printing petg on this printer I only print engineering filament usually. it is totally silent. I have head from others this issue only happens when the cabin is heated. this is apparently the case for mine as well.
You should had stop printing at the third click. And you should had triangulate the noise to find the source in 5 minutes. No you insisted to use the device, it’s your fault if the printer is now tending to be ruined.
