In Bambu studios, I have both printers connected and I will select the printer top left from X2D to P2S. What I find every time the last printer selected filaments are still loaded. It is not truly switching between the 2. I will select P2S slice in PLA and it will tell me that PLA is not available. Why because it is still showing all the engineering filaments of my X2D. My work around is to go all.the way to the end press print get the error Bambu Labs studio is showing the X2D I switch it to the P2S again then the pla filaments will show up. It will do the same thing switch from the P2S to X2D. If I select it in the beginning then (top left in bambu labs in the beginning why is BS not switching everything over then, Am I doing something wrong or is BS buggy.I am on Ver 2.7,0,55 Beta.
Also in my AMS 2 Pro I on the P2S I can select Generic then Sunlu, Polymaker on the X2D its not available. just generic. Both have Sunlu Print profiles loaded. If I choose the polymaker profile in BS will not see the filament even if it’s loaded in #1 slot. Go back and change from Polymaker to Generic Petg CF and it will show it as available. So I can not print the Polymaker provided presets.
I do have the track switch installed it’s working well. Setup is 1 AMS 2 Pro and 2 AMS HTs. The 2 HTS is connected to the B side of the switch A is Ams 2 Pro.
I know this is long sorry BUT I have looked around and nobody is talking about these things. Maybe Im not doing something right (kinda hope its me and not buggy firmware or software)
Do you click sync next to the printer and project filament sections, after you change the printer?
And also there is a strange sync/load process to sync between the printers, cloud and local presets and profiles. You may need to do for both printers and filaments. This process is something that need to be improved a lot.
I am not sure if it is me or a bug in studio. I find work arounds and just go on most of the time. I am on a Mac M2. My issue is, I have 2 printers a p2s and X2d, I open a print file choose a machine p2s or x2d. Change the printer from what ever it is showing A1 or what ever the original file was sliced in top left box in BS to P2S or X2D then press sync, At that time if I look at the filament choice most of after I click on filament 1-2-3- so it shows the wrong filaments a lot of the time if I last used the P2S and I am using the x2d it will be wrong showing p2s loaded filaments NOT X2d loaded filaments.
I go through all the settings then I change the filament in the window in the drop down menu will show the filaments in the X2d not what is loaded in my p2s. I slice it anyway then I get a pop up that will sho my other printer x2d or p2s not the one I am currently on with a red message not compatible at that time I select the printer again, then the filaments will reset to my current printer filament settings with the printer I selected at the start. The filaments and printer seems to stick to the last printer used even if I select it in the top left window. Switching between the 2 is not seamless selection. It should be a A or B switch. it is not for some reason.
When I load some file from makerworld for example. It comes with some other printer and filament with the project.
Then I need to click sync next to the printer to get my printer loaded/switched. Most pf the time it show dialog that ask me if I like to sync with my setup. I can discard it and I will be left with totally different printer and filaments. And I can even slice them, but of course if I try to print them it is not going to work.
If I stop here I see the filaments from the original project which absolutely do not rely to mine. Then if click sync next to project filaments, I get one dialog in which original project filaments get synced/mapped/overwritten with mine, loaded on the machine.
I could imagine that you need to go over this process every time you change project or printer inside the project. And just change of the printer will not auto sync the filaments.
And this is why when you change just the printer you do not get the filaments synced. You may have some option that will trigger this dialogs for you as reminder, btw.
I am on windows BTW, but it looks the same.
The process for handling multiple printers isn’t the most straight forward. The best method that I’ve found is to first go to the Device tab and select the printer you want to work with. Go back to the Prepare tab, click Sync info, select Sync now on the popup, and then click the Continue to sync filaments on the next popup. From there I can setup my model for printing and when I go to slice, all of the right filaments are selected. When you want to switch to another printer, just follow those same steps above.
Exactly what I am trying to explain.
You need to sync with every switch both the printer and the filaments.

Thanks guys, I figured it out, The little super small ams icon in the filament pulls the info from the AMS imagine that. Problem fixed. I always just pushed the large sync button. I used all the other icons in that row but never used that one Duh Thanks everyone!!
Yeah this little icons that you need to click. Seems like when they maid it no one really thought about using different printers, different projects and etc.
You need to do it every time when you load some different project or change the device, or just load different filament. And all project files carry some profiles and configs, you need to check them and make sure all is properly loaded, as sometimes some strange settings are loaded and the prints may fail. Then when you load them it is asking do you like to save it, then you need to figure out what exactly this thing is asking you and do you really need to save this settings and profiles ……
So this looks like the Bambu wanted to create the most simple workflow for single device, then tried to connect the world, via cloud and make you interchange projects and files, which then interfere and get out of sync all over the place. And with every load/change you need to figure out and take your decisions 
. Which basically ruin the intended simple workflow.
Strange this morning I was starting a print and I hit the sync button and it synced and then a small window popped up do you want to sink filaments? (spooky) I am not sure if it appeared before maybe and I just got use to my work around I was using and just payed it no attention.
I clicked ok no need to click to little ABS icon in filaments it synced with the AMS. I am a newbie bought my P2S in February and the X2D the day it became available. I like both printers a lot. The heater in the X2D really made a difference printing ASA and the other engineering filaments. I’m still new and designing useful problem solving solutions everyday and now I wish I would have started 10 years ago. My printers have become the go to tool in my tool box when practical. Thanks for all your help guys.

Honestly I don’t think you would have wanted to print 10 years ago . Back then almost every print was a challenge and failure rates were reasonably high. Plus modding or repair could be weekly or sometimes daily
It’s only been the last 2-3 years printers have become more consumer friendly so you haven’t missed much
