As the title describes. What’s up with that? Plenty of other printer mfgs there. Prusa even brought the AFS. Print farm in a box. New 8 nozzle models running, too. Silicone fdm printer running for all to see. No shortage of reps present, too. Same presence with Creality and their expansive item list of fdm, resin & laser printers, scanners of various abilities. Elegoo, Snapmaker’s U1 was running and available, if you can find them, lol. Just too many to list. Good crowd, but not too crowded. So, Bambu Labs sees no reason to interact face-to-face with it’s current nor potential customers? There’s a word for that.

I don’t know anything about the relationship with the company, but I do know that Chinese companies are not being help in high esteem right now.
I mean those tariffs pretty much targeted Chinese manufactures.
Bambu clearly had no interest in marketing to this audience of manufacturing engineers.
The show had ample representation from Chinese makers. Creality and Elegoo both had 20’x30’ booths. Considering that the show catered toward 10x10 booths, that’s telling. It says both of them felt that this was worth investing big marketing funds. The biggest booths were by Stratasys and 3D Systems, both are geared towards industrial-scale printing.
This show was geared towards industrial users and Engineers. It is co-sponsored by the Society Of Manufacturing Engineers. I was planning on going but my trip got canceled at the last minutes. I researched who I was going to see in advance.

The US is busy trying to make 3D printing all but illegal with their moronic “gun detection” algorithm laws, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Bambu follows in DJI’s footsteps and just abandons the market entirely.

AFAIK, Bambu were planning to be there, but had to pull out almost last minute.
I had a ticket there, but unfortunately was too much stuck with work.

Desktop printing was quite well represented and eagerly so by organizers. I missed the Unlayered3d booth, a 5 axis, desktop fdm printer. I did see the small, upside down fdm printer operating at Greengate3d booth, a highest quality petg filament producer & bambu labs printer distributor. (They don’t sell the upside down printer). The show being a melting pot of technology, where heavy hitters and creators make contact. Govt criminalizing 3D prints within host state Massachusetts occurred years ago, but, let’s not get into that in this thread. Point is, laws apply across the industry while not detering the desktop printing community from attending. Prusa was pushing their tech. Creality pushing their cloud. Extra points to Team Prusa, applying Rapid+TCT. While trying to decide what to print in their AFS box, the final model was the show’s pass display frame. This custom designed for these badges modeled onsite and printed by this AFS farm in a box. A big hit giveaway in the show. I didn’t know Prusa is also offering complete resin printing stations. Blown away by their silicone desktop fdm printer. Creality’s hoping their latest I7 gains interest in schools & libraries with maker spaces. A path implementing desktop tools access to the next Thomas Edison’s from the youngest of minds thru academia (including 100 groups offering scolarships provided at Oak Ridge National Labratory) and into industry leaders. SME is quite happy to include the desktop printing creators. Where were you Bambu Labs ???
