32GB thumb drive formatted on H2C can't be read in Windows 11, works in Linux

Windows can’t read the drive- reports something wrong with it, but it works fine in my Linux laptop.

Sounds like a windows problem not the printer.
Wouldn’t be a bug report.
Would be a question for help though.

Nothing is wrong. It’s probably ext3 or Btrfs or some other Linux file format that Windows can’t read. There are tools that let those drives work in Windows like DiskInternals Linux Reader or Paragon Linux File Systems for Windows.

It seems odd that Bambu Studio is written for windows but the thumb drive formatting isn’t a native windows format. Hmmm.

Does anyone know what the specs are for the thumb drive support in the H2C? What is maximum size, what formats are acceptable? What format does it use natively?

That’s odd, I just tested the drive from my H2C and it is formatted as FAT32. I’m pretty sure I let the printer format this drive. It’s an “8GB” drive so well within the FAT32 limits.

Did you format it yourself or let the printer do it?
What size drive?
Oh sorry says right in the title, doesn’t it. Well that should be OK with FAT32 & Windows also.

Thanks for the link. I should have seen it.

Maybe I didn’t eject it before pulling it out and it messed up the file system. I’ll reformat and try again.
