This mainly for UK users who may be thinking of printing weapons
Same country that pepper sprays people for buying baseball bats.
The real question is how they knew that the man was doing those things.
Ive watched the video , i didnt see him get sprayed and the bat wrapped or not can still be considered an offensive weapon , because of how it is being paraded , s____d ,i know but thats the law
I could, but i wont summise .
Seems like there is a lot of “guilty until proven innocent” going around.
I think charging for Possession is odd when there is no obvious motive for evil.
Possession with intent would be a lot worse , i recall an american video i watched once, same situation, same result, because he didnt go directly to the ball park to play with his bat.
I find it interesting the methods that they are using.
I think intent is the most important deciding factor, but sadly intent is the hardest to prove.
Little bit of a side note. I was reading an article that the new IRA is suspected using 3d printing to produce firearms for their purposes.
Soldier of fortune article ?
counter terrorism police recently arrested (24) a polish national printing a machine gun ![]()
He was sentenced on 27 January at the Old Bailey to a total of 17 years,
The last two years in my search, appears to show an influx of triers (first page)
The bigger problems will come with 3d metal printing
Well maybe. I’ve thought about that, but for the price of a decent metal 3d printer right now, you can get multiple good quality CNC machines and plenty of aluminum stock.
I cant remember where the original article was from, I might have to look through my history. Last month or so.
15 minutes from completing a gun sounds a lot like a certain country being six months away from having a nuclear weapon…for the past 20 years.
It’s probably just as accurate, too.
They probably saw 15 minutes left on the printers screen and said “we will go with that”.
In the UK proof is in the firing , its how they secure a conviction
Can’t read the article but nice picture
They need to after people with lathes, saws and other equipment designed to produce ‘things’.
As a child I pulled the chair away from a school friend and he collapsed onto the floor, at 8 years old I learnt I could have killed him.
Why are chair designers not being locked up?
Who amongst us has smashed a baseball bat onto another person’s knees?
A pencil through the temple (not religious building) is a boo boo making event.
Intent used to be a reason, if we have shifted to future crime potential, then cheese grater owners need to be punished as well.
Just taking a dumb thing through dumb thing hoops, and not shooting (pun intended) the messenger.
I did think only the dumb octogenarian politicians across the pond were being dumb. I thought our government was so full of inept people that such idiocy would be farther in the future.
