So, I got the notification the other day that there was an update for studio to studio 2.0… I was like all excited for a hot second.
I do 99% of my design and remixing in fusion and have always saved projects for printing in 3mf format. But sense the update to 2.0, all the sudden it has issues with 3mf and will only load the geometry data only…
Kind of like the same message after you have loaded one project on a build plate in studio then you open a 2nd plate and all the follow on projects loaded flash a message that it is only loading the data only!
Does any one have any idea what is going on? And before you say, “just save it as an STL!”… Stop… 3mf includes more data than a simple stl. Or i would be saving my projects as an STL…
There are a lot of reports atm regarding the current version. With it focussing on the H2D, testing couldn’t have been as thorough.
It may be prudent to go back to the prior version through github for now.

Perhaps this is a duplicate of Bambu Studio 2.0.0.95 creating a warning for Autodesk Fusion exports ?
maybe, but things seem to print ok!
not sure why they would want to warn Autodesk. Fusion gives you multiple formats to save your 3D print projects in… and 3mf works in all the others slicers with no issues.
If Bambu wanted to impress with the 2.0 version. Maybe they should have added a conversion for STL, OBJ, or 3MF to STEP. There are tones of things in Maker that are great but need a tweak or two to work for your specific situation.
More likely there is simply an issue with it being read… there is no real logical reason that a newer version of the software would have an issue with an older version of the file format. If it was the other way around (newer version of file format with older software), sure, there would be an issue, but not in this case. It still sounds like these are the same bug, not seperate ones.
Yah I was poking around the forum aster I posted. None of the titles really pointed to 3mf except for the 2023 post. The newer post are worded strange. The older post really said nothing but it was a bug then and would be fixed with the next update. well now we are many updates past that and on to a new version. And an old bug shoes up, Odd! I personally never had an issue till yesterday. Not even one popup error related to 3mf.
The new layout is a little off, but I’m getting use to it.
