any picture i upload to 4:3 is too big and the tool offers no way to scale it down only scale it up… we used to be able to at least manipulate the cropping to let it fit now no chance… @MakerWorld why do you keep “fixing” things that werent broke
I take my pictures on my phone at a 1:1 ratio or square and it comes out perfect. 4:3 ratio on my phone doesn’t convert well when uploading. I have an iPhone.

Just tried your suggestion that worked, its just stupid i have to change it just for these uploads. Should be simple enough to let us either zoom out to fit or crop like it used to be. my standard pics are 48mb so thats at 3:4
Glad it worked. Yeah I haven’t been able to find a good way to get my pictures to work well for the cover photo unless I do that.

If you “zoomed out” you would have black borders at best as you are including non-existent pixels in your image. What about taking the pictures not so close which should then let you zoom/crop in a bit (since I am guessing you can’t rotate a 3:4 photo to be 4:3 to get the aspect ratio right in this instance)

I don’t mean to make fun of you, but couldn’t you simply stick to your default settings and take a photo in landscape or portrait mode with enough margin? That would give you more flexibility when cropping.
the point is i shouldnt have to, it used to work but now its broken… as stated above it has been solved
there are probably too many pictures now on the website i believe they scaled down the image upload quality as well
