So I’ve been using my H2D to mainly print PPA-CF and ASA-CF on the left nozzle since I bought it. First layer was perfect the whole time until about a week ago. I noticed my first layer was extremely under extruded, so I check for clogs. No clogs. I then switched to my right nozzle to do a bed level test and I printed this abomination of a print (the halfway finished test). I then did a full printer reset and recalibration and got this new print. The bottom right of the build plate is fine on both prints, but then sudden whacky things start happening.
I agree with Eried give the build plate a good scrub with dish soap with the soft side of the sponge and wash it off with water ( I dry them with a paper towel) usually I would say to use IPA first (I use 99%, but I think 95 is also ok) but IPA struggles to remove sugar type residues but is great as a degreaser.
You haven’t accidentally changed something in the slicer either have you ? I’d get it to do the extrusion multiplier calibration test (I can’t remember the name of the test off the top of my head but it’s the one that prints the squares) and see if that has a difference in first layers! (Apologies for tagging you Eried I hit reply to you and it’s adamant now that it’s replying to you )
I had thoroughly cleaned my plate with hot water and soap right before I did these test prints. I haven’t changed anything in my slicer, which is why I think it must be something hardware related.
There are a bunch of what may be moisture-related issues being posted in the forum the last few days. One was already sorted as water after drying filament fixed his printing issues.
There are times of the year when seasons change and humidity spikes and soon after people post.
May not be water but are you drying your filament? How? How do you store filament? What’s your ambient humidity?
