I am thinking of purchasing the 6500K led strip from bambu to use with my A1. are there compatible stls? can that strip be used for the A1?
I’ve seen folks sticking light strips on along the bottom of the X-axis rail before. Honestly, I think it’s a terrible idea. I can’t imagine them not eventually falling off mid-print and creating chaos.
I went a different route and it’s been awesome. I picked up some cheap under-cabinet lighting from Amazon for like $25. I’ve got them plugged into a smart plug, so I can yell at Alexa or Siri to turn on/off the printer lights. Much easier to see what’s up, and my timelapses from Octoprint look great!
I was about to upload an image of the setup, but for whatever goofy reason, the forum software says I can’t embed an image, despite there being a button in the here to… embed an image!
Thank you! I ended up finding a print that held a 8mm led strip clipped to the top of the gantry. But I think I will go and pick up some of those under cabinet lights and a smart plug because I like the idea of just telling Alexa to shut the lights off. Thanks for the reply!
