A few Nozzle purging questions

I am starting to print with ASA on the H2C. I have been using the left nozzle for 1 color ASA printing and I usually print a small PETG cube at 270c to clean out the ASA and then printing another small cube with PLA at 250c.
My first question is if this is necessary, or does the H2C know what material was last printed and how to properly purge it?
Second question is if it does not auto purge is it a better idea to change to another nozzle manually?
Last question is how is this best handled with the Induction Vortex nozzles if I start printing Multi-Color ASA?
