Is it just me or have recent versions of BS started miss reporting that something is over the plate boundaries? I’ve got V1.9 and V1.10 both doing this.
If I take the same exact file and open it in Orcaslicer it does not have that problem.
I’ve found on several files that BS is having issues when I crowd plate boundaries and even when I’m not over, it still pitches a fit about it.
I have also had unexpected warnings about distance between print objects and the prime tower since v10, and had to manually move the prime tower on a second plate on one large model. Bambu_Studio_win_public-v01.10.00.94 is doing this.
You guys are not crazy… Oddly enough, i am now experiencing the same “issue”. I printed a file last week with BS 1.9.xx and 2 days ago i upgraded to 1.10.xx and now the same file gives me the same g-code error you all have.
Now the plate is full and objects are close but nothing is less than a few mm from any edge or the exclusion zone… Very odd indeed…
I’ve spent way more time than i have wanted to trying to correct the issue but it would be really helpful if BL would give some details as the where the conflict in the model exists…
I have identified the area where the slicer is having issues. It is the bottom left of the build plate. When I remove the part above the square, it slices fine. I don’t know why this is happening. Auto arrange put the parts there.
FYI this is a two-part PETG sacrificial pattern for investment casting in stainless steel. The prime tower is for the painted support underneath part 2, which uses a PLA interface layer for clean support removal.
Auto Arrange fixed this and placed the parts very close to the edge.
I think this is a bug. I can clearly see space all around everything including the non printable corner but BS says it’s over the plate boundaries. Save the file. Open it in Orca, slice the exact same file and no error. Don’t know what else to say.
I found a workaround for clearing the error for printing multiples on the same plate.
Move your print to the bottom left corner (this will be your keystone). Slice it to verify it’s not close enough to throw the error. Copy and paste the models about your keystone; slice as you go.
I went from 5 little snowmen to 8 without scaling the model.
