With a new year before us what do you plan to do new this year within 3D printing?
Whether it’s learn a new process, switch to a new software for design, purchase a new system, or otherwise! Share what you will do or learn that’s new for you in 2026!
For me:
- spend more time learning design software (Fusion 360 & look at a sculpting program/design process)
- Buy larger printer like H2C
- Dive deeper into slicer settings to gain improved in-depth knowledge and understanding

I will outsource my new year resolution
I would like for MW to require the two cover images be photos of printed models.

This year I’m hoping to experiment with some more functional materials like nylon. Most of what I do is functional, and PETG is good for a lot of it, but maybe not so great for under-hood parts like air intake mods (eg 🏎️ MINI COOPER (F56) AIR-TRACK (V3)・ 3MF File for 3D printing・Cults )
I’m also hoping to make a 1:1 reproduction of Rodin’s Fallen Caryatid With Stone. Ideally learning some new post-processing & paint techniques to improve surface finish and make it look closer to bronze castings.
