I have a new A1 with the AMS. I also have to X1 Carbons. Is there a way for the A1 AMS to show how much filament is left on the spool in Bambu Studio? It just shows the full color. The X1 Carbons will show you how much is left.
Is this not available on the A1?
Correct. And on the X1C it’s just a best guestimation.
Not fully guestimation, machine makes some measurements.
She loads/unloads a know size of filament and count the number of turns the spools does. Then calculates the gross remaining filament quantity.
My idea of guestimation comes from the varying weights of filament rolls when new.
The AMS doesn’t weight the spool, it uses the ratio of filament length/spool turns.
Yeah,I know. I typically weigh my filaments before and after drying, I’ve seen a lot of variance even within the same brands
What I’m saying is the AMS has set parameters for a giving filament of a 1kg roll. A lot of rolls have a little more than that.
