Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone tried to plug an ams HT with the AMS lite as well ? wondering if I can do 5 colors and how you plugged it… I looked at the wiki but cannot find any info if I can actually plug the AMS lite with the AMS HT ? thanks everyone 
That’s a good question. I had an HT and AMS 1 hooked to our mini, but honestly never tried to print from the HT. Was a temp setup that I changed my mind on.
if no one answers I’ll pull down an AMS and see. I don’t think I’ll have too much time today. I would assume (maybe incorrectly) that you could daisy chain the Lite off the HT.

i dont know but they say on the website that you can plug multiple ams ht with the ams hub… to the a1 … so can you put an ams lite with the ams ht as well and print with 5 colors in total or more ? the wiki is not great as well i havent found anywhere that says how to wire and plug the ptfe tubes to that special buffer for the a1

I had it set up but didn’t put much effort into using it. I’ve added 2 printers in the past month so my attention has been drawn to those and to building up inventory for the next event.
Connecting will be the headache. On our mini we have the old 4 way hub working, but only the HT right now. I used the old 4 way hub and ran 3 of the AMS PTFE to it. On the 4th I had a little length of PTFE and then put the new 4way splitter (not hub) onto that, with the HT and last AMS slot into it.
Janky looking I know. While I don’t have the lite, I have a couple of AMS units. I just got freed up for an hour so I’ll try it for you now. Give me a min or 60.

This AMS hub can connect up to four AMS units simultaneously. It supports any combination of AMS, AMS 2 Pro, and AMS HT, but doesn’t support mixed use of AMS lite with AMS, AMS 2 Pro, or AMS HT.
The ams lite requires slightly different firmware loaded pre installation lite/pro

An AMS HT connected with AMS only shows as 2 HT connected.
so if you plug the ams HT with the AMS or AMS pro on the X1c you will not be able to print 5 colors ? thanks
You can mix AMS, AMS Pro and AMS-HT no problem. You can use 5 colors and more.
The problem is in the A1 and A1 Mini and the AMS Lite.
In the A series the firmware is “dual” and you chose one for use qith thew AMS Lite, or the other option for the rest of AMSs, so you can not mix the Lite with the others.

I just connected an AMS 2 and an HT to the mini and upgraded tot he correct firmware. The AMS 2 shows as just another HT.

How are you linking the ams units ? ht to ams / ams to ht ? to printers hub
I daisy just for this. My AMS is on another machine but the cable reached. HT to hub, AMS to HT. Maybe it’s different than AMS to hub and HT to AMS?
I’ll take your word for it, to do that I’d have to move more than I’m interested to do today. If I’m wrong I’m wrong.

I had the HT and ams connected but only for about 3 hours, and didn’t use the printer. As dumb as it sounds both lit up so I just moved on. It was while doing this I decided to just purchase another P1S since it was on sale and the extra capacity would help. So I tore it all down.
Right now the mini is set up as single color with the HT that will be used with the H2S when it arrives. I do plan on adding an AMS and I have another HT. Guess I’ll have to mess with it to see.
It may be a firmware problem.
