A1 camera with a foggy área

Hello,

Recently, I noticed that my A1 printer’s camera has a blurry spot that makes it almost unusable. I’ve already cleaned the lens exterior with IPA and a cotton swab, but it didn’t help.

Any suggestions on what else I could try?

Thanks.

contact support and ask for a new one. It is very easy to replace

I recently dealt with a blurry camera on my Bambu A1 and wanted to share the outcome, especially regarding the root cause. Despite my strict maintenance routine using only minimal amounts of lubricant, the camera became unusable due to internal contamination.

  • The Issue: A persistent blurry spot that external cleaning could not fix.

  • The Technical Concern: Upon inspection, I found an excessive amount of oil accumulated behind the camera module. Since I am very careful to use only a tiny amount of lubricant, I raised a concern with support that this leakage might indicate a failing bearing or a mechanical defect elsewhere.

  • Support Verdict: Bambu Lab confirmed the issue and classified it under warranty coverage. They noted that this “excessive lubrication” issue can occur, but in my case, it clearly pointed to an internal migration from the assembly rather than user maintenance.

  • Resolution: They were very prompt and have already shipped a replacement camera.

  • Takeaway: If you face this, don’t just clean the lens. Check behind the module. If you see significant oil despite careful maintenance, it’s likely a factory/mechanical overflow that justifies a warranty claim.
