I’m starting to print with PLA on my 3D printer. The first layer adheres well, and the filament flow is fine. However, after that, even though the extruder is turning, there is no filament flow, and the print continues without filament flow. I cleaned the nozzle and extruder using the Bamboo wiki instructions, and there is no clogging in the nozzle or extruder. My problem persists. Can you help me?
what type of filament are you using? what is the nozzle temp for the first layer and other layers?
Eco PLA , first layer 220 others 215. I’ve been using these settings for a long time, but since yesterday I’ve been encountering this problem.
It sounds like a heat creep clog, but you mention at the end of the event that there is no clog. Those usually are bulged areas, above the nozzle’s entryway. If your heatbrake fan (the tiny one on the left) wasnt working, you almost always get a big heat clog after the first few minuts of print and the machine air prints because it sitll sees filament in the toolhead. Visually see if its still spinning.
Disconnect the AMS, rig it as an external spool, and try as well, to remove a variable
