A1 Combo AMS lite

Problem with filament change / purge.

So far, I haven’t had any issues with the AMS Lite for over a year and a half.

After swapping out two spools to restart a print with two new colors for a file that uses three colors, the AMS Lite suddenly encountered a problem after cutting the filament.

The “purge old filament” operation is running, the extruder is spinning empty, and the next filament isn’t being pushed through the nozzle to continue printing.

The three spools are recognized by the AMS Lite; I also tried swapping their positions, but the problem persists.

I received an unknown error code after the third attempt.

I can’t determine whether the problem is with the extruder itself or with the AMS Lite’s motors for loading/unloading filaments.

If you used Bambu spools, the RFD Tags would see a different color.

If you used Non-Bambu spools (Generic), it should have worked..because the color doesn’t matter.

I use Bambu Basic PLA spools.

The problem don’t come from the spools, they’re correctly recognized by the AMS lite, and are well charged in Bambu Studio.

I also made a “load filament”operation via Bambu Studio, and the loading is working correclty with the three spools.

I googled the error code, maybe it could be related with the “filament detection captor “ and a small part of filament, but what I founded didn’t have the whole matching code error, just with 12FF-8015.

Problem solved.

It was a filament sensor issue in fact.

The problem should be just some dust, apparently even a tiny bit of dust can cause that issue. The filament sensor wasn’t that so dirty, I should have take a picture before just blow the ridiculous little amont of dust on the sensor.

Sad that the error code given by the printer don’t refer directly to that type of issue.

How to do: Unscrew the 2 screws, carefully pull out the entire bottom bracket assembly, remove the 2 screws that lock the filament sensor, and clean with a blower.
