A1 extruder head not moving smoothly

Hi all. First time posting here so be gentle :wink:

I have an A1 that has approximately 2500 hours on it. I recently had to change the heater element on it and now the extruder head will not move freely by hand and when I home the axis, it makes a terrible sound and the belt flops.

I’ve tried to reset the tension but it didn’t help. I’m thinking the motor my be bad, but wanted to get some advice. I do get an error when I hit me, but it says the Z axis has failed and not the X.

Any advice?
