Hi to all!
Yesterday finally I receive my new A1, it work fine yesterday, but today it don’t want to start a new print.
When I tryy to print it say that the filament cutter is stucked, but it’s not true, it’s outside and can move liberaly.
Also, I check the magnet and is still inside… any suggestion?
I changed 3 time the filament and also removed the nozzle
Do you have AMS
Remove the front cover and remove one screw from the cutter and check if everything is OK when assembling, the filamet cutter must go into such a pocket
I had something similar happen today with my A1 (no AMS). When I tried loading filament earlier, the printer threw the error “The cutter is stuck”. Indeed the cutting lever was physically stuck in cut position in the tool head from when I unloaded the last filament a couple of days ago.
I put the lever back in its idle position (which worked easy enough, no exessive force required). However, the printer still shows “The cutter is stuck” and also the filament sensor is no longer detecting filament.
The odd thing is, when I move the cutting lever with its magnet close to the back of the sensor a couple of times, it sometimes shows the “green dot” to confirm filament detection in the display. The dot stays green for a while after the lever is returned but the state does not persist as it should when filament is present in the extruder.
Maybe the magnet on the back of the cutting lever messed up the hall sensor by being in close proximity over an extended period of time. Or maybe it magnetized metal parts in the tool head that throw off the sensor?
Does anyone have any new insights into this?
I may give it some time to “demagnetize” but will probably just replace the filament sensor and hope this fixes it.
