I bought my first printer from Bambu Lab, the A1 model. It’s been less than 24 hours since I’ve been wasting my time trying to figure out how to fix the new printer. I’m essentially having the same problem after the firmware update. It was a great introduction, and now I’m also waiting for the firmware update.
They know about this problem and yet in the latest firmware, they did not address it . Annoying .
Hello,
a1 mini, same problem
…
这个功能用中国话讲:脱裤子放屁。 看到这么多人不满几个月了,还不改回去,旅游也改回来了吧
Had the same problem. I opened a ticket with Bambu Lab, and they told me to change the AMS setting even though I was using an external spool.
I changed it from AMS Lite to AMS 2 / H2D (Hermes), and after that the problem stopped happening.
I think it was probably related to the firmware. Changing this setting may have triggered a firmware/software update or changed the way the printer handled the filament detection, which seems to have solved the issue.
So if anyone is having the same problem with an external spool, it may be worth trying this before downgrading the firmware version.
This is becoming extremely annoying, since August I have this issue every-single-print, it is just totally stopping any envy to print.
When will this be just fixed? I will look at how to downgrade my printer firmware for the moment because I cannot continue like this.
How do You change the AMS Type if You don’t have one? I’m printing only from external, no AMS attached, so I don’t think I can change it. It still happens every time.
Go to the general settings on your A1. There should be a section called AMS Options. Inside it, you will find AMS Type, which is probably set to AMS Lite.
Change it to AMS 2 / H2D (Hermes). The printer will probably tell you that you need to unload the filament first. Unload the filament, change the AMS Type setting, and then load the filament again.
After doing this, the problem should stop. At least, this is what fixed it for me even though I was also printing only from an external spool and had no AMS attached.
Downgraded do 1.08.00.00 and now it works just as it used to. Recommended.
hi, you can go back to previous firmware directly from bambu handy app.
On the device page press the options menu on the right-top.
Now press on firmware version and click the previous one to downgrade
