Does anyone know if BBL intends to create a forum category for the A1 as opposed to the A1 Mini? Or maybe it exists and I just can’t find it.
I believe there is. I see one labeled “Bambu Lab A1 Series”. That seems to be one that covers the A1, now perhaps it covers both.
I think you will find the issue with the categories is simply a housekeeping issue that should be cleaned up by someone, who, I do not know.
There are three that you would use.
- Bambu Lab A1 Series > Bambu Lab A1 mini
- Bambu Lab A1 Series > General Discussions
- Bambu Lab A1 Series > Troubleshooting
It is the sub-titles that are adding confusion, if you see A1 mini, read A1 series instead.
#1 relates to hardware issues
#2 relates to anything unrelated to hardware
#3 relates to actual issues you are seeking hands-on (so to speak) help with
This poorly captioned sub-titles issue likely occurred during the launch of the A1 mini which was launched a few months before the A1 and they didn’t want to tip anyone off another model was coming so quickly afterwards. Someone forgot to rename the categories correctly after the second launch to match how the other sections are organised.
The sections are generally organised according to the series, not the model.
- A1 Series
- P1 Series
- X1 Series
As the A1 mini and the A share almost all the same parts, the same basic firmware (I do not mean identical), and the same screen style, all questions for one can usually be answered by those with either.
The same is true for the P & X series models.
Have you clicked on it. When I click on it, I’m taken to the mini forum.
Yep. It seem BBL focuses more on their printers than the forum. And that suits me just fine because I just got my third BBL printer and marvel at how much I got for the price.
But on the subject of housekeeping, there seems to be an HTML or CSS problem in the categories page. It’s been there for a while. Here’s a screen shot:
