My A1 has worked flawlessly since buying it six weeks ago. Yesterday I started my most ambitious print thus far - a 24” long articulated lizard using a duel color PLA Silk filament - the slicer stated it would take 22+ hours to print. About eight hours in, the printhead just stopped along it’s path and the screen went blank as if there was no job assigned. I checked the Handy App and it showed the job at 24% but says nothing about being paused or stopped. After 20 minutes, I start looking at different screens on the printer and find one that says, “reading the file”. I can’t imagine it taking this long to read the MicroSD card, but leave it again to go eat dinner. Another 20 minutes later, the printer starts up again as if nothing’s wrong.
Another eight hours go by and it happens a second time - the printhead just stops. I assume it’ll start again after a long read and go back to bed. This time, either the bed temp dropped and the dragon came off the bed, or the printhead bumped the dragon loose from the bed, because it was spaghetti from that point forward.
Any ideas why it’s taking so long to read gcode from the MicroSD card (if that’s the issue). It’s the original SanDisc 16GB card that came with the printer.
