Hi all. Having some trouble trying to print atm. Using a Bambu A1. Generally im getting fantastic prints. But top surfaces are horrific recently. And I discovered this on a first layer. Someone suggested it could be flow so Ive done flow calibration, Dried the filament even tried other filament and even cleaned the bed but this issue remains. Any idea?
Crazy thing is other stuff is fine. Just did this print which aside from the top surfaces is basically perfect.
Unless you used ironing with bad settings these top surface tell me there are flow ratio issues…
If you do it the Bambu way >
Print the first nine patches.
Use good light and a magnifying glass to find the patch with the best surface.
Don’t stress about the edges, look for no gaps between the infill lines while also not showing any build up.
Round two you do the same.
If you go with tiny test cubes of low height >
Start with the default 0.98 and increase by 0.05 if there is gaps in the top infill, reduce if there is build up.
Fine tune as required.
After all this you need to calibrate the k-factor as it is used for turns, ends of line and all that to ensure the pressure advance is good.
Use the Orca Slicer calibration
If it just started happening with no changes to settings then I’d suspect filament or nozzle. Personally I keep more nozzles on hand just to eliminate that as an issue.
If that’s not it then need to dig deeper, like loose screws in the extruder or something.
Still stuck on this. Ive done flow calibrations but the issue remains. I did an ironing calibration and it looked fine. Then input those settings and the issue was still there. Ive even dried the filament but the issue remains and Ive tried a different roll of filament. The same issue on both A1s
What file is this in the first picture? I would like to run it too.
Or the 2nd but if they are paid files I guess I can’t.
