A1 toolhead malfunction after BLOB

Printer was printing with 0.6 hardened steel nozzle using Bambu Red PetG and experienced a blob of plastic on hot end due to poor bed adhesion. After printer stopped and while still hot I gently removed main blob of plastic, leaving some on the heatend. With remainder of plastic on, couldn’t heat stock extruder heatend even in maintenance mode. Replaced extruder heatend with aftermarket one, routing cable appropriately. After replacing heatend it does not heat and temperature reading remains at zero. On new 3rd party hotend, heater resistance 6 ohms, NTC resistance 92.9KOhm, seems close to spec when tested with multimeter. Does TH board need replacement or another troubleshooting step required? No error codes appeared on the screen. All other cables on TH board seem tight

Well, think found the cause of this.

After searching for “bambu a1 th board troubleshoot”, which returned this link (few results down) Printer Circuit Failure Troubleshooting - A1 | Bambu Lab Wiki

This had me start troubleshooting the board, first thing noticed was no power, no green light on TH board…….

Turns out that the screw at bottom worked out somehow and USB cable slid out and became dislodged. I popped it back in, tightened the screw/bolt thing and voila, heatend heats up, fan turns on, temperature registers, seemingly it works.

Turns out didn’t really truly need to replace hotend but it is nicer to have one.
