Printing a poop bucket out of ABS, and it has a Bambu logo on it so I figured I’d print that in white PETG, well when the nozzle changes to print PETG I get a warning saying chamber temp is too high.
Is multi Material printing not possible with PETG and ABS or TPU and ABS?
EDIT* This H2D is way better at printing ABS than my P1S and the filter actually works!
Welcome to the forum.
In general printing a filament like PETG while maintaining a chamber/bed temp in order to print ABS is going to lead to extruder jams as the PETG will soften to the point that the extruder won’t be able to push into the hot end.
Yeah I wonder why Bambu studio didn’t give me a warning, as it does with TPU.
Studio 2 has quirks/bugs that will be worked out in time. Bambu was unable to test it with a large audience because the rollout of the H2D was a “secret”.
well it worked! I think if I adjusted chamber temps for both filaments to 50c it would have been better quality but probably wont mix these two materials in the future
So it let you print despite the warning, or did you have to do something else?
No warnings from the slicer but gave a chamber temp too high error when it switched to print the petg, the chamber heater is so slow that it only gave the warning a couple times as the temp never increased past 45C while printing the abs each layer
