ABS-GF and internal air filtration on H2C

Today I printed ABS-GF for the first time on my H2C, and overall it went very well.

The print job took about 5 hours, and I have to say the internal filter works really well. During the print itself, I was able to stand about 2 meters away from the printer and didn’t notice any smell at all.

The only issue I noticed is that the filtration doesn’t start during purging and calibration, so a small amount of odor escapes at the beginning. It also stops immediately after the print finishes, which leaves some residual smell in the room.

Is there a way to:

  1. Make the filtration start immediately when the printer begins (including purging/calibration)?
  2. Keep the filtration running for 5–10 minutes after the print finishes?

Is there perhaps a manual G-code command or a setting in the printer firmware that allows this?

I have an additional question: is there a machine G code I can enter to enable air filtration during PLA printing, either at the printer level or the filament level in Bambu Studio?

Since it works like the H2D, I would say no.

I solved this by using an external filter system that works with any filament, but when I print high-temperature filaments it needs to be turned off or the chamber gets too cold.

I’m currently printing an external window exhaust and just finished designing it with a lockable outlet suitable for Canadian winters. I think 50 °C for ABS on the H2C should be more than enough. I print ABS on my Q1 at 50 °C with an external filter and the fan set to 10%, and it performs very well.

The key is not to run the fan too aggressively—blasting it will just pull all the hot air out of the chamber. Keeping it around 10–20% seems to be the sweet spot for Q1

The issue is that the rear vent is closed when printing ABS. Is there a way to open it via G-code, or is the only option to drill holes in the cover or remove it altogether? The H2C is an amazing printer, but the inability to vent properly is a real shame. They advertise three ventilation modes, yet I can’t figure out how to enable the third one at all.
