ABS ventilation

My P2S is in a 10x10 office I share with my computer and workbench.

I want to try using ABS with Vapor smoothing for some Funko like prints. I know vapor smoothing needs to be done outside. However, I am trying to determine if the optional external vent kit with Carbon and HEPA filter be enough filtration during printing or do I need to vent the printer exhaust to the outside?

Thanks

No, it isn’t. The kit is meant to vent your printer outside.

If you want proper air filtration, you need to get the bambu smoke purifier or look at a dedicated third party option.

And yes, do all of your vapor smoothing outside away from any potential ignition sources.

FYI if you plan on using Bambu ABS it doesn’t react the same way to vapour smoothing. You will need to dip them in acteone to get the same effect.

Also, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the straight forward answer

I picked up Sunlu ABS. I just learned about plastic alloying of filaments and it never occurred to me that different brands would work differently. Thanks for the heads up
