This might sound like a strange thing to do, but it helps A LOT with support removal if you switch to a filament that’s not compatible with the current filament and contaminate the support interface with it.
For example, I’ve experimented with different support interfaces for ABS and found that nylon doesn’t stick at all, so it’s difficult to get it to stick. However, the nylon contaminates the ABS making it adhere very poorly even after you switched back, but strong enough to continue printing without any issues, so if you print the interface with this contaminated ABS you have the perfect support interface material (sticks very well when printing but falls off super easily afterwards). Then you just do another (longer) flush afterwards to get rid of the contamination and you’re back to printing normally.
Currently this is very tricky and requires either custom G-code or switching between three filaments.
