Adding text to a coin

I have added text to a coin that I found in Bambu- for some reason the text is turning out angled and not all one height. What am I missing? Both fonts angle down and make it harder to read. I tried adding photos but it wont let me attach them. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Can you upload the .3mf file you are trying to work with?

Duck Coin(8).3mf (2.0 MB) It it this… I think it is because the text is on the torus which is rounded. Is there a way once I split them to objects to get the text to a uniform height?

That is the original file. I take those pieces and then edit them to be the coin I want. I will try to attach the file I’m Working on too

Single Coin.3mf (782.0 KB)

One way is to use a negative cube to make the top flat.

You can move the cube up and down in z direction to get the cut you want.

Do you have ‘surface surround’ selected when adding the text?

I believe it does.. I am super new to all of this- I found a coin that is editable in Bambu that someone else made. I figure out how to change the text, but they are using a Torus I believe to wrap the text and that is causing the text to be angled is my guess. The suggestion of adding in the negative cube did work, but I am having issues replicating it now.. For example- I am trying to make three versions of this with one saying the dates, one saying THANK YOU, and one saying 2026.
