After pause misalignment

P1S, pla filament. After pause the next layer prints approx -3mm y, -2mm x direction.

Is the issue consistent? (meaning its always in the same direction at the same distance)

That is a lot and a pause does not do that. It can only be explained by the head hitting something when back a the purge. Do you have a motor dust cover by any chance or any other mod that could have interfered leading to the head loosing the home position.

…or a cat or a small child? No joke, this often turned out to be the “problem” because they bumped into printer plate or printer head. I don’t know how many times it has turned out to be the cat, because the printer is so nice and warm and has made itself comfortable in or on the printer

Check to make sure the PTFE line that goes into the toolhead isn’t too short/tight-in-corners, especially if you’ve modified it or the location of your AMS recently. You sometimes get a minor 0.05mm misalignment/pause ring from cooling - and that’s just gonna happen - but this is way way too much to be normal if it happens all the time.

Bingo. I installed a magnetic led strip light about 11” long I bought on amazon. The power cord went down at the inside corner, not letting the rail go all the way to the right back corner. Thank you.

Always assume the printer is perfect and the culprit must be something external. That’s what I usually do and 99% of the time it’s user error. That leaves 1% where it is achually the printer’s fault

I failed to follow that “principal”. I usually do, if your car wont start, it is spark (electrical) or fuel, most of the time it is the battery.
