I’m having a bit of an issue right now with a profiler using an AI image for the profile they keep uploading to my model. I didn’t realize for a few days that the only picture they had uploaded with their profile was AI until I was scrolling through the comments on the model and seen a very similar image to the one the profile was using. The user uploaded make is on the left in orange.
I compared the two and it was pretty clear something was going on. A closer inspection of the profile photo revealed that it was missing some details at the base by the stick. You should be able to see signs of a ball and socket joint on either side of the stick, but as you can see, it looks completely solid in this photo. Clearly AI.
I say they ‘keep uploading’ because despite being reported and removed two weeks ago, that profile re-appeared on my model a couple days ago. Uploaded by a completely different account, but using the same AI image, description and settings. I’ve reported this profile again and I’m 100% sure it will be removed, but there is nothing stopping it from continuing to happen.
Situations like this are why we need an option to toggle publishing of 3rd party profiles on/off when editing our models. Seems like a simple fix. Despite these issues, and this user’s obviously nefarious use of AI, I fully support using AI tools responsibly. Much in the same way that I still support Hollywood producing movies despite the fact that Nicolas Cage keeps getting work.
I found something yesterday that might actually provide some relief the next time AI irks you. Copy the address of the offending page, drop it in https://destroy.spritefusion.com/ and blow that trash up.
Okay, wt f…
In Bambu Handy I used to be able to long press a model and select “Report” to report violations, now that option seems to be gone completely.
Anybody else seeing this?
I can confirm that - long press - the only options left are:
- Add model / Add to favorites
- I don’t like this model
- I don’t like this designer
Android, latest app version.
Strange - I had that option a week or two ago, now long press doesn’t do anything for me at all.
I don’t see a problem with them if they’re accompanied with plenty of other photos of the actual print, CAD, etc. But if that’s one of the only photos that are provided then they get reported instantly.
@FireMedic541 The whole purpose is to deceive users.
Practically, it means we have to click the thing, examine all the pictures, THEN decide if it’s likely a BS slopmodel or not.
…and then because we clicked on it, the algorithm starts showing users more of the same junk.
Does that actually seem like a good thing to you?
Fair point.
I am adding this meaningless sentence since MW says I need 25 characters.
One of my recent models I MADE has been stolen and reposted on this site multiple times bragging how they didn’t want to pay for it and are giving it away for free by stealing it with AI. A large amount of people here support this behavior and it needs to stop. Everyone of my reported posts (multiple people here stole it) are continually denied. How is this accepted and okay by the people running this site??? absolutely unacceptable.
can you please report all of the thieves who stole and posted my model here. I never wanted it here. And it’s being plastered everywhere. Search “gremlin skull”. They are all stolen. Search my username across cults, etsy, and elsewhere for proof. I’m out of ideas at this point and all of my reports are rejected while I provide proof
