I just started 3d -printing in december. Since this weekend my printer starts airprinting. No error-message but the printer doesn’t really print. It just do the movements with no printing, sometimes it starts with real printing and after a while it goes on with airprinting. I already changed the hotend two times, with no result. Has anyboddy any idee? Every help is welcome. Thanks.

I’m assuming your printing with a P1S? There are a lot of causes for Air printing”. It is often caused by a clog/partial clog or restriction in the filament path that causes the extruder gears to grind a notch in the filament which causes it to stop feeding. This restriction can be from a spool that is wound incorrectly or incorrect nozzle temperature which causes too much back pressure. Poor quality filament can also cause feeding issues or trying to print too fast for the filament type.
Start with trying to print from a different spool and make sure that the spool can’t turn freely.
Are you saying that a print starts fine and then devolves into printing air?
How do you cure the air printing problem? After 1000 hours of printing. in the middle of an 11 hour print now it air prints. I’ve cleaned everything, no clogs feeds to the hot end and stops feeding, prints but no filament is laid down. Help!
Does it stop printing suddenly or does it start unde-rextruding and then eventually prints air?
