I just bought an X2D Combo. It’s all been working quite well; there’s just one annoyance that I wish I could do something about.
When I start a basic print job from Bambu Studio (just using Bambu Basic PLA and all the default 0.20 standard-quality settings), the printer will almost always sound a loud high-pitched alarm for 20 to 30 seconds. There’s nothing displayed in Bambu Studio indicating that anything is wrong. After that 20 to 30 seconds, the alarm turns itself off and everything goes as expected.
My best guess is that it’s a temperature-related warning. The default temperature for the heated bed is 55C, and I notice that the alarm turns off when the displayed actual temperature reaches 50C.
Is this a known issue? I’d like to be able to start late-night print jobs without scaring everyone in earshot.

You can turn off the sounds of the printer. I much prefer not hear them so I disable it on all my printers.
You can turn it off by accessing the touch display on the printer. Go to settings and disable Sound.
I had the same thing happening when starting new prints. This is going to sound dumb, but are you connected to a UPS? The sound I was hearing turned out to be the alarm sound from the UPS being overloaded during the X2D startup and not the printer making that noise.
Go into the printer settings and enable low power mode and see if that makes it stop.

So, the printer has sounds and notifications, but they are about 1-2 seconds long. I think Brian is right that if youre hearing something like that its the UPS. Make sure you update firmware to get the low power mode setting, it’s not in the menus of the OS it ships with
I can’t believe it. That’s totally it. I had to replace the UPS along with the old printer, and I forgot that I’d disabled alarms on the old UPS, and they’re sitting about four inches apart. Insert mortal embarrassment here. Thanks so much!
