Allow "Change Type" for multiple Assembly bodies at the same time

Currently (2.1.1.x); I can can select multiple bodies or Assembly sub-bodies and change things like Filament Spool, infill, etc…

But frustratingly, I can’t multi-select Assembly sub-bodies and then use “Change Type”. I have to do each sub-body step by step through the pop-up dialog, over and over.

Most assemblies I import are 1 part and 40-60 Part modifiers. I have to manually 1-by-1 change all of them from “Part” to “Modifier”. Then inevitability, I must alter the part in CAD, and re-import, I have to do the “Change Type” all over again… 1 by 1… its monotonous…

And then when my print bed has 7 Parts that are all assemblies… you get the idea.

1-by-1

Multi-select doesn’t work

So I had previously been making all the Modifiers directly in Bambu Studio, but The issue is that Aligning them takes even more time… and every change/tweak they need to be all redone and re-positioned.

So I’ve go to adding the Modifiers directly in CAD, so every time I make a change, the modifiers come along too and are already in the right place. I just need to mark them each as “Modifier” than then I can multi-select all of them to change the properties.

So Multi-select “Change Type” for objects in a assembly would be a great frustration and time saver.

I’m having a similar problem. I have a file that I add as part objects, but then want to change many of these to negative parts. The file has about 150 parts, so having to change each is very time consuming one-by-one. Any faster way of doing this?

I usually use modifiers designed in CAD to reinforce threaded inserts, screws etc. Having the current operation of manually switching each such part is extremely annoying but hopefully this is an easy problem to solve by just allowing to change multiple at once. Great suggestion!

Any solutions for that? I would also like to see bulk change type option

Same here. Tried to use autohotkey but as the popup is embedded to bambu studio, it was pita
