AMS 2 Pro and external 4A power supply

Recently added external power to my two AMS 2 Pro’s.

Before adding the external power supply every filament feed was weak, stopping muliple times and just did not sound solid.

Now the filament feeds are greatly improved. To me it appears external power does help the AMS 2 Pro.

I am getting ready to do this. Little miffed that I have to pay for the power supply x2 when it should be included with the AMS.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cheaper power supply than the ones from Bambu?

Maybe not cheaper, but a power supply I had on hand.

This power supply works with the AMS 2 Pro - plus Amazon Haul has a deal on where you can save £10 on orders over £20:

What are the specs, so I can find it in the US? Thanks!

Is this correct?

The AMS 2 consumes no more than 2.75A (66W) in drying mode, so the 96W power supply will operate for a very long time without overloading or overheating. (They could have made the heater more powerful. It takes 45 minutes to heat up to 65 degrees.)

I would be very cautious about buying external power sources (cheap ones), my brother in law did this strategy and ended up burning his P2S, the short circuit went all the way through the AMS to the main board, screen circuit board and also the print head circuit board. The printer was brand new, no more than two weeks, and he ended up spending a massive cash to fix it….. so lesson learned here, the cheap option can cost you a lot!
