My 2 Pro has motor faults on multiple bays. I also tried my old original AMS and got a motor fault (could not withdraw filament from extruder), but that may have just been a fluke.
Now I am printing with my AMS-HT and so far it has not faulted. Has anyone had motor faults with the AMS-HT? What about the original AMS?
I’m trying to determine if this is just an AMS Pro issue or something deeper.
Is “motor fault” the error displayed?
My AMS2 that was packed with my X2D was binding on bays 1+4, filament unable to leave the internal hub, and needed to do a physical repair to the hub to fix it [find megathread]. But that fix has been 100% completely effective so far.
Last fault was Motor Stalled 0700-2300-0002-0012-033208.
UPDATE: I removed the AMS 2 Pro and connected my AMS-HT in its place.
That successfully completed a 3.5 hour print in PLA Basic last night without any issues at all.
This morning I wanted to run a torture test, of sorts, running Elegoo PAHT-CF from the HT. The print was only a small part, but I was thinking that if anything would give both the X2D or the HT a hard time pushing filament, PAHT-CF would.
The 5-minute test print went perfect, which is giving me a little more confidence that my issues are strictly AMS 2 Pro related.

A quarter turn (loosen the screws) on the bottom of the AMS hub fixed my issue. Have not tested the replacement AMS HUB yet
