Anyone else having issues where the AMS 2 Pro is stripping PLA because the rollers appear to be locked when its trying to feed it? I’ve had a support call open since the first week i got my P1S and AMS 2 Pro combo in the middle of April and they still haven’t acknowledged any kind of fault and are now even telling me they wont replace it as its outside of the replacement period. Even though the delays were all down to their support team taking 4-5 days to reply each time.
It either does this or eventually feeds it to the extruder and then pulls it all the way back.
Same issue here… after I used the dry function for abs. If I insert a new role it’s pushing forward and backward than 20cm forward and again forward and backward and than another 20cm forward … all extruder gears look pretty good - so I guess it’s a sensor
I’ve used the AMS 2 Pro twice to heat my filament… after both I attempt to roll the spool forward & backward to confirm they are not locked. I find rolling the spool backward “unlocks” the spool. That’s been my experience so far.
Okay so I fixed the issue, the AMS Internal Hub Unit had a piece of filament gummed up in there, I also loosened the 3 screws holding it to the base since those being too tight was a common issue with the original AMS, so far it looks like the problem is solved, I did notice that I had the issue again before I seated the PTFE tube properly in the back since the filament seemed to get stuck on the edge. If you have that issue make sure your PTFE is cut flush and square, you can chamfer the inside edge with a blade and also cut your filament at an angle to avoid this issue. Hope this helps. . .
