I just got this error yesterday, the filament just reached the coupler, then it makes a spring or a stopping sound somewhere in the AMS unit and then retracted. Does it a few times and that error pops up. It did some damage to the filament where some parts of it is worn out.
Do you think this tube set-up maybe the problem as being too long and bend or something wrong with the motors in the AMS unit? I had the same set up for about 2 months with no issues.
I tried the following:
Checking for any clogs thru the tubes. None.
Running filament thru external spool holder - is fine.
Last filament used was PETG-HF 2-3 days ago.
Last modification I made was that bracket, I did tamper with some of the tubings. But I done a few prints after that, all came out fine; no problems whatsoever, printing and filament going thru the tubes that time was okay.
I cut the worn out filament and reinserted a fresh line of filament, came out with the same problem.
I don’t suspect anything broken within the AMS unit. But I know AMS 2 Pro tends to be a bit rough with the filaments.
I confirm nothing is wrong with the X1C itself as calibrations and extruder are working fine.
Anything I can do to fix this? Thanks
