This may have already been pointed out it but I just received a brand new AMS two pro I got one originally with my H2 D when it came out but the new one has a small difference

The left gear size I talked to bambu lab and they said they aren’t able to disclose what changed and or why

Well, they changed it for a reason for sure. I’m guessing it’s to speed up the process of loading/unloading of the filament? It would make sense for those with an H2C.

Once I finish my print I will do a couple tests on speed I was maybe thinking it also had to do something with motor strain but I don’t know how gear ratios work

I’m not 100% sure, but I think they’ve increased the ratio which would increase the speed. Now if they’ve slowed the motor down then it might not be very noticeable.

Perhaps there will be a firmware update that opens the throttle. Pure speculation on my part but it does make sense that they’d increase the speed for quicker filament changes.

Can you please post the serial number of the new one? Change the last 5 digits (only) to zero if you want but leave the others so it’s decodable.

Quick question , anyone had an issue retracting filament that prevents a nozzle change ? on the h2c

My AMS 2 Pro, which came as Combo with my P2S in November, does have also the „new“ design.

Interesting, revision A, 2025 Dec 15. Tomorrow is it’s one month birthday.

We don’t know what “06” is yet, maybe that is some kind of sub-revision.

If it is faster it would be by 1/10th of a second but it sound different less something maybe harsh?

Ow and the heater fan is less loud from what I can tell
