I recently purchased a P2S along with the AMS 2 Pro and am unable to setup to print with Sunlu PETG. Bambu Studio V2.4.0.70 only shows Bambu and Generic filament types event though I have checked all vendors and filament types in the software. I initially tried to print with Sunlu PETG in slot 1 of AMS and Bambu PLA in slots 2, 3 and 4. I then tried removing all filaments, shut down printer, loaded Sunlu PETG in slot 1, turned on printer and again tried in both printer setup and Bambu Studio to select Sunlu and the only option shown is Bambu or Generic. This is driving me crazy, am I missing something. I would appreciate any help offered.

Third party filaments like Sunlu won’t show up on the H series and P2S printers. Only Bambu and Generic profiles are available. You will have to manually edit the file and put it to Generic PETG once it is loaded in a slot.
It can’t recognize the Sunlu filament as there is nothing to recognize.
Bambu spools use a NFC chip to detect what filament has been inserted. Sunlu does not have that. So all Spools and FIlaments you use that are not from Bambu show up as “Generic”. (Though i personally just use the Bambu filament profiles for non-Bambu filament, prints just as good.

I appreciate the feedback. I’m a newbie and couldn’t find anything in the Bambu Wiki to indicate how to proceed. I will see if I can sort out how to add a new profile but am unsure how to proceed.
I appreciate the feedback. Bambu Wiki wasn’t very helpful and it would be nice if Bambu Labs would address the issue for we consumers. I am a bit unsure how to setup a custom profile for a Generic filament, any advise you can offer would be appreciated. I am a newbie at this….
Here are 2 vids. One on adding and one one importing (you can check with Sunlu to see if they provide a config for the P2S for import but it may take a while for vendors to catch up).

i never bothered to import custom filaments like the videos @Thud-oops posted show.
I let everything run as bambu filament.
Insert the spool into AMS.
In Bambu studio go to “Device”
click on the pencil of the spool you just inserted
click on this tab ( might say something different for you since i already selected it)
and then select whatever fits your filament
in the prepare tab click on one of the filaments slots (the order of those do NOT correspond to the actual slot of the AMS. So Project Filament can be ABS while the actual Slot 1 of the AMS is PLA. It’s just what filaments you have inside the project.

and depending on the project filaments you have you need to select the actual model, right click and switch filament

After 2 1/2 days of frustration I finally sorted out the issue I was having. I created a custom filament profile for PETG but was unable to get Bambu Studio to allow me to print with it. After hours of watching YouTube video’s and reading online articles I finally managed to make it work. On the printer I selected the appropriate slot in the AMS and selected the custom filament profile and still couldn’t get Studio to accept the slot, I re-mapped multiple times with no luck. After reading an article this morning after a Google search I reading something that turned the bulb on in my head. It stated that you had to select the model in Studio, right click and set the filament type for the model. The issue was that the model I downloaded had PLA set at the print filament and Studio and the printer wouldn’t allow me to print until I changed it to PETG. Thanks for all the help from the community.
