I have an enhancement suggestion for printers with an AMS or AMS2 Pro which are capable of estimating the filament remaining.
When there are multiple spools of the same filament, the printer can auto refill to a second spool once the first runs out. However, it seems by default, the printer always starts with the filament in the lowest number slot. I think it would make more sense for the printer to start with the filament with the least amount of filament.
Or is this already a feature that I am missing?
Agreed that it should do this, and it currently does not.
OK, I must just be lucky. When I start the print and I know I am low on one spool and have a second ready to go, I tell it which one to start with. It’s an option when you are starting the print. X1C, 3x AMS2, 1x AMS, 1.10.00.00. At least that is what I did last time I ran into this, like three days ago.

That’s same thing I see. It’s just that sometimes I forget to reset the starting spool to the one with less filament. It would be nice if the software would default to the spool with less filament.
