Support can be amusing sometimes. I received an email stating that my two AMS HT units are stuck in customs for inspection. However, according to the shop, they haven’t even been shipped yet. After quickly contacting Bambu Lab, they informed me that the units were delivered on May 2nd, which is impossible since they were never dispatched in the first place.
It seems likely that someone else received my order, especially considering that people who clearly ordered after me have already received their units. Meanwhile, my two units appear to have vanished completely, and the response from Bambu Lab suggests they’ve already been delivered to me.
Has anyone else experienced something similar, with ordered items ending up delivered to someone else?
Now I have to wait until late June for the next shipment, without any compensation at all.
Yes, I’ve opened a support ticket, but their initial response was completely incorrect. They stated that I had pre-ordered an item and needed to wait until it was back in stock. However, my receipt clearly specifies delivery “around May 28th.”
I received the same email with a new shipping date on 06/17. I think that the mail says, that the delivery from china is stuck in import customs to the EU. So Bambulab EU does not have the items they sold.
The same thing happened to me, postponed until June 17th. I also assume that it’s a delivery to the EU warehouse and won’t be shipped until it arrives there.
It would be reassuring if they were fully transparent about this. In my line of work, I have contacts within customs, and they don’t typically conduct random holds the way this has been described.
Is it actually German customs, or another country involved? To me, it sounds more like all units originally intended for Europe were redirected to the US due to a temporary tax loophole, rather than this being an unforeseen customs inspection targeting all European-bound shipments.
In any case, we’ll see if the products eventually arrive—and whether any form of compensation is offered for the delay.
Dear customer I’m talking about the latest news I got, AMS HT will be shipped around June 23rd. Please wait patiently. Thank you for understanding and cooperation
Today i received the shipment mail from bambulab. The order is on the way to me. Seems like customs worked hard to release the bambulab goods. So EU customers may relax now.
I received the same message, though I still find the “customs inspection” story a bit hard to believe. Personally, I suspect they may have attempted to ship it to the US by mistake and got caught mid-chaos.
Let’s see how this plays out—last time I received a “delivered” notice, support claimed it had been handed to a neighbor. That was an interesting claim, considering Bambu Lab shipments require my signature upon delivery. Most likely, they just confused it with one of the split shipments. Again.
Bambulab shipments are delivered here with DHL or DPD (except H2D printers via DB Schenker). I never have to sign for a delivery. Most of the time they drop the shipment at the entry door, with or without my consent.
In this case, the final delivery is handled by PostNord in Sweden, and most of their deliveries require my signature. So for Bambu Lab to claim that my packages were delivered to a neighbor was rather amusing. They must have confused it with the split shipment, since 50% of the order was dispatched immediately while the rest was put on hold. Even more surprising, the dates they claimed my neighbor signed for the delivery were before I had even finalized my order.
