AMS Hub for Multi AMS/Printer setup

I’m currently having 2 AMS with my single printer. It should be great to have some sort of device where you can have 1 PTFE to 2 PTFE tubes with also the connections to the AMS devices.

So the benefit is that you can select to which printer the AMS will be connected, for just some ‘small’ private printers this will be great. I see some users have created some custom designs for this, but with the electronics that need to switch to printer A or printer B, this is a bit tricky.

I think when Bambu have it’s own device for this, just a ‘double’ hub for PTFE as well as the electronics so AMS can be switched between printer A or printer B will be something more users will use. When printing 8 colors, it can be set to the same printer, but when printing on both printers with 4 colors each, it can be switched over, without disconnecting PTFE/Electronics.

I don’t understand… that’s exactly what the AMS hub does.

@KentuckyMC , you are looking for something like this: AMS A/B Switch

Yeah exactly, about the AMS Hub itself, that’s the connection for x AMS to 1 printer. I’m looking for x AMS to 2 printers. So you can switch it around.

Indeed it’s something like the AMS A/B switch, but that’s ofcourse DIY, and the electronics part is always like, yea, will it work and not break anything. Should be great that Bambu itself has something like this as original part.

No, they probably want to sell you more AMS. But I know, what you mean. That would be an ideal addition to the H2D, for example. So you don’t had to reorder the filament in the AMS to get optimal nozzle assignment, because the printer can choose itself where to get the filament.
