We’ve had our X1E for a few months now but have experienced the same issue constantly since about a week?
When the nozzle goes to purge the retraction speed of the filament does not match the rotational speed of the spool, and the filament gets tangled.
This only happens when the spool reaches about 1/3 capacity.
It is not an issue with slippage and we have found this to be an issue on all the vendors we currently have.
afaik ams doesn’t adjust its load/unload speeds according to the filament capacity so everyone is having this problem. When a spool slips (bc of low capacity/weight) the extra wound out length gets tangled easier inside the ams
Look for “AMS saver” on MakerWorld, print, assemble and install. They will not resolve all instances, but entanglement should be much reduced.
