AMS not coming on after using External spool

For some reason my AMS Pro2 isn’t coming on after using the external spool, even though it is all plugged in and fully loaded.

Any ideas??

What printer are you using, if you’re using a1 or a1 mini you need to do a firmware change, if your using any other printers i’d restart the printer.

Thanks for advice, turned off everything. Reconnected everything, then did a backwards update on firmware. Upgraded firmware again to a version I knew was OK. Bingo it sprang into life again!! Luckily I think it was just a glitch.

But thanks again

Have you unloaded the external spool?

More for others reading this later as you appear to have resolved it.

Thus is a common issue most (myself included) forget due to the convenience of the AMS doing it for us.

Hi Malc, yep I did unload it, but did check it just in case. As you say can easily be done, especially when using white filament
