AMS not reading since Firmware update

Is anyone else seeing a problem with the AMS RFID detection since the Firmware update last week? I can get it to read any PLA but ABS, PETG, PETG-HF, my AMS in slot A3 and A4 will not detect any of them except PLA! I have 2 AMS’s and the “B” slots all work fine. It is just my A3 and A4.

I cant get it to recognize my support for ABS. Even manual entry just flips back to a question mark.

I have been messing with it for hours and after 4 reboots of the AMS, I got it to detect A3 ABS. As soon as I put an ABS in slot A4 and it tried to detect, both disappeared… this is beyond annoying!

Using the printers touch screen. Go to the editing screen for your AMS. Click the edit pen on the slot you want to use. Down close to the bottom of the screen is a reset button. That will clear out the slot and be ready for new info.

Thanks Barry, I have used that each time. Whats weird is that as the process is going on my X1C, I can see the color change on the filament line on the screen but once the detection finishes, it goes back to a ?. I discovered this morning that if I empty EVERY spool out of the AMS, it will recognize the A3 or A4 slot for ABS but as soon as I put a second ABS roll in, they both go back to ?. I made sure that I have all the filaments selected in Studio also.
For now, I have 2 AMS’s so I am putting 1 roll of ABS in each to get it to work but I really believe they screwed up the firmware upgrade when adding the PETG-HF since it behaves the same way as ABS.

Make sure when you do update, the best is shut down everything, logout off you’re accounts power down your machines, restart and log back in ,that has helped me.

I have no proof or data to what i do when i install a new spool of filament that was different from the previous spool.

But i never configure the filament from bambu studio. I always do it from the touch screen. Then sync to bambu studio. This is what works for me.

I only use two brands on the X1C. Polymaker and Bambu lab products. When i swap to one or the other i do a full reset on that slot.

I’m sure other people are doing it the way it works for them. But i know this works for me and i am fully up to date on all firmware/software.
