While drying the filament, one of the clips got loose, and the results were rather dramatic.
Yea, I know, I should have put the end through the rim holes and make sure it can’t get loose. But I use clips that go inside the spools, not on the rim, and it was OK for a time, until that once. The clips are printed with ABS, they don’t fail during PLA drying, but admittedly get softer for a while.
But to the point - the amount of resulting unwind was ridiculous, it was probably due to spool rotation during the drying process (overnight).
Which direction the spools are rotating?
Can I change it, co it is not “against the flow”?
It looks like it was rolling in the “feeding” direction, the filament got caught in the works and the result was a total mess.
