im doing this ams rack - do u guys have anymore suggestions or ideas?
I just finished building one using 2020 Alum extrusion. Won’t do it again as it ended up costing too much.
Anyway, it’s hard to tell looking at your picks, but be sure the drawer slides come out far enough to allow you to open the AMS for changing filaments. I built mine with the drawer slides 260mm above each other to give me that little extra to open the AMS. I used 16" drawer slides so they’d extend beyond the AMS above.
Also if you also want to add ht units keep in mind they are higher and also add with if you want it next to each ams2.
Maybe make the back entirely open so that you can unplug or handle with the PTFE tubes easier.
i plan on just putting the ht on the top
i have windows in the back should also work… if its all the way open it looses stability
the drawers are 350mm but height is pretty tight with 260 for each module… i need to print one as soon my h2c is here too see if everhyting fits, probalby still need to make a few changes… i think this shouldnt be more than two -three petg spools + 30euro for the rails… 60e for this thing is ok i think
