I’m not sure if it’s been posted as I’m new to the forum, but what if there was a response function for the ams and ams 2? Just have an option to rewind a slot either indefinitely or while holding a button or in increments of a length. Then people might not need drill respoooling or whatever else.
Oooh, maybe I could hack my HT to do that… 
Though I guess it may be simpler to add a motor to an existing drybox with rollers. But yea it would be cool if there was some kind of manual/external motor control for the AMSs. For respooling more than just several loops, a spreader/distributor mechanism is also needed, really, but I’m sure that could be printed. For the 4-spool AMSs the lid would have to stay open I guess, or a hole drilled/plugged… not sure how practical. Nice idea though!
